Last night I went out on a whim and had a blast! Some friends and I took the train into Chicago to attend the Revivify event that Psymbolic throws every Wednesday at the Butterfly Social Club. Turns out that this was actually the second to last Revivify ever, so I’m glad I made it out. The scene was so good we skipped taking the last train back to the ‘burbs and chilled with an awesome girl we met on the train ride in. BTW, Blythe, if you’re reading this, thanks again for having us over. We watched the sunrise over Lake Michigan, and my friend Casey took some crazy pictures of the Bean sculpture in Millennium Park. This particular photo is of the underside, looking straight up into the belly of the beast, or the “omphalos”, as some people call it. I can’t get over how it warps the light in there. Anyway, we watched the city wake back up, and then went home to bed. Definitely going to be hard to top that night!

It really is. I go out looking for one, and all I can find are either hatchets or halberds. There’s got to be a happy medium here. Something long enough to get a good swing in, but without a huge spike on the end. You know what I mean? It’s OK if there’s a built in pipe or something, that way I can smoke while I’m splitting wood. It’d also be nice if it had a little warning label that reminded me to put gloves on, because I always forget and end up with a blister between my thumb and forefinger. The label could also tell me whether it’s spelled “ax” or “axe”. I can never remember. I think both versions are acceptable, but one can never be too careful these days…

So, I hadn’t blogged for a while, and I thought, what the heck? Why not start another one? Maybe someone will actually read this one. Maybe.
I really don’t care whether anyone reads this or not, though. Just click on the ads, please!
No, if you’re going to be here, you might as well read what I have to say. Who knows, you may even find it mildly entertaining. There’s no guarantees, of course, but it couldn’t hurt to give it a whirl. If you like the strange, bizarre, or even the slightly amusing, you may just want to come back here from time to time. I’ll be waiting for you.
